Usability Study on Getliner.com

Method

For my usability study, I had my participant a teacher use Getliner.com and complete a few tasks to see how easy the site is to navigate. First, the user signed into their Google account and changed their username. After that, they explored the website and went into the settings to adjust their notifications and privacy options. They also read through the terms and policies and double‑checked everything in the Liner settings. To test one of the main features, the user saved a YouTube video using Getliner and changed the highlight color at the exact spot where they paused.

Results

The participant was able to complete all the tasks without needing help. They said the site felt pretty easy to use and liked that they could customize things like notifications and highlight colors. Saving the YouTube video worked smoothly, and changing the color was simple. The only issue they mentioned was that some settings were a little hard to find at first.

Discussion

Overall, the user had a positive experience with Getliner.com. They liked the layout and felt that most of the tools were straightforward once they found them. The customization options made the site feel more personal, and the highlight feature worked exactly how they expected. Even though the site was mostly easy to use, the navigation could be improved. Some settings were hidden deeper in the menus, which might confuse new users.
